First Steps for Planning a Funeral
When a death has occurred, the first thing you do is call us. We are available 24/7, so don't hesitate to get in touch if it's in the middle of the night or at the weekend. One of our funeral directors will talk to you in confidence about the funeral process. The first thing we do is liaise with the medical personnel and arrange for the completion of the death notification form.
Designing a Funeral Service
The discussion with the funeral director will focus on your wishes for the personalised service. First, we ask you whether your preferred option is a burial or cremation. We then discuss and take note of all the other details, such as; clothing, transportation requirements, music, floral tributes, the coffin/casket, the production of booklets/service sheets, etc.
We are there to assist you with all these selections, ensuring that the service honours your loved one and your family’s wishes. When we have taken note of the requirements for the service, we will confirm your instructions in writing and outline the estimated funeral costs.
Making the Funeral Arrangements
Meanwhile, we will take care of all the arrangements for the funeral. We’ll confirm the details with the chosen clergy, church, cemetery or crematoria. We prepare and dress the deceased as per your wishes. Before the funeral, we make sure the floral arrangements, vehicles, music, etc. are in place. We provide the booklets or service sheets and place a condolence book for signing at the funeral home, residence, church or crematorium.
We are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days of the year. Call one of our funeral directors on 025 342 17 / 086 8237 538.
